Component supply is more than purchasing and warehouse space. When a component becomes scarce, is discontinued, or needs to be securely programmed, an isolated solution usually isn't enough – that's when sourcing, storage and processing need to work together.
This is exactly where we come in: we bring sourcing, storage, component services and secure programming together into a process that fits your needs.
Vision & Mission
Our vision: supply chains that enable decisions
We want electronic components to stop holding companies back. Not through unclear inventories, missing evidence, complex handovers, or dependencies that only become visible once the market tightens.
A good supply chain doesn't just deliver. It creates the basis for companies to decide in time – about critical stock, about product lifetimes, and about the process a given component actually requires.
That takes transparency, resilient processes, and partners who understand the bigger picture – not just individual orders.
Our mission: organizing complexity so it becomes manageable
We accompany electronic components along their entire journey: from purchasing through storage and processing to delivery or programming. We don't just look at a single part number. We look at the bill of materials, demand, lifetime, criticality, and the requirements of the next process step.
Some customers want to build a production buffer. Others need to secure spare parts over many years, prepare components for manufacturing, or safely flash firmware onto microcontrollers. Together, we develop the combination of services that makes sense for the situation at hand.
What we do differently
Traditional component trading earns its margin on the goods themselves. When a component's price rises, the margin often rises with it. Our btv TAK® model separates the price of the goods from the service: you purchase your components at cost. We get paid for the services that support your sourcing, storage and processes.
As a result, our work isn't driven by an incentive to resell components at the highest possible price. It's driven by what you actually need: securing stock, identifying risks earlier, preparing components, planning availability over longer periods, or programming sensitive firmware securely.
Our services work individually. Combined, they create a continuous chain of information: origin, warehouse movements, processing and – for programmable components – firmware, device identity and the programming event itself can all be documented and traced together.
The Founder
What began in 1992 as an idea from Julio Ortega in a garage in Lingen an der Ems is today a hidden champion of the electronics industry. Ortega combined entrepreneurial courage with a partnership-based understanding of customer relationships – two principles that still shape btv technologies today.
What started as component trading gradually became today's "Bridging Technology and Value": the ambition to bring together technical requirements and business decisions, rather than simply passing goods along.
Today, Maximilian Krane (CEO) and Sven Vogel (CFO) lead the company together as shareholders, alongside an experienced team. Rather than optimizing individual processes in isolation, we think of component logistics as one connected system: sourcing, storage, component services and secure programming work together – organized through our btv TAK® model of transparency, agility and cost efficiency.
Maximilian Krane (CEO)
Pace-setter, rule-breaker, growth accelerator. Since 2023, Maximilian Krane has driven pace, scaling and transformation as CEO and shareholder. With international sales experience from Avnet and Silicon Labs, he brings market insight, industry knowledge and the courage for radical change. He is responsible for production, sales, order & supply chain management, marketing, material planning and purchasing – and treats disruption as a mindset: streamlining processes, opening new markets, and making innovation possible.
Sven Vogel (CFO)
Securing the numbers, creating room to act. Sven Vogel has led Finance, Controlling, Facility Management and HR as CFO and shareholder since 2022. Following roles at Continental and Audi, his precise view of the business has driven sustainable structures and faster decision-making. Vogel stands for speed and calculated innovation, turning numbers into business progress.
Wieland Rose (CPO)
Raising quality, connecting processes. Part of btv's DNA since 1994, Wieland Rose shapes technology topics, quality management, ERP projects and the Romanian plant as Chief Process Officer. Digital process control, reliability and hands-on practicality define his role as a bridge-builder between innovation and day-to-day operations.
Our services
btv TAK®: component logistics as a service
With btv TAK®, we organize the supply chain for electronic components. You remain the owner of your components from goods receipt onward. We manage sourcing, inventory, storage and call-offs according to agreed specifications, and document the relevant processes.
Quality, security and responsibility
We work according to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 and hold AEO status. We are also a member of VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry) and COGD (Component Obsolescence Group Germany). For information security, we have completed the standardization process under TISAX® and been listed on the ENX portal.
Our Code of Conduct sets out the principles that guide how we work internally and with suppliers. Our Corporate Policy further defines how we structurally embed quality, security and sustainability.
For our sustainability performance, we were awarded Bronze by EcoVadis.
BVB-Frauen
Progress is not a straight path – we’ve seen that first-hand with the BVB women’s team. For two years (2024–2026), we supported them on their journey from the Westfalenliga towards the 2. Bundesliga, under the motto ‘Together. Grow.’ In the end, they narrowly missed out on promotion, but that is precisely what genuine growth is all about: setbacks are also part of progress. We are grateful to have been part of this journey as a partner.
